resident craftsmen demonstrate with pride their skills which are the
venerable traditions that built our nation. These talented craftsmen
have made a commitment to preserving history by mastering the arts
and crafts of generations past.
Silver Dollar City craftsmen weave, shape, blow, hammer
or carve their own individual artistic impressions, using tools and
techniques identical to those craftsmen before them. Their hand-crafted
pieces-- some were created in times past as essential items for turn-of-the-century
life, others were created purely for their beauty -- have become the
heirlooms and collectibles of future generations.
These one-of-a-kind creations can be found in the unique
shops that you'll discover at Silver Dollar City throughout the year.
During the fall
National Harvest Festival, September - October,
inspiring artisans visit from across America to demonstrate their
skills and display their crafts.
Plus, visit
the Culinary & Craft School! This beautiful 1880s-style farmhouse has
been luxuriously appointed by Silver Dollar City’s own master
craftsmen. Cooking classes are held daily in the state-of-the-art
kitchen.
